Overview¶
As from Ethos 26.1.0 the new model wizards assign some channels starting from the left and alternating from the outside in, bringing it into line with FrSky stabilized receiver requirements and documentation.
After the upgrade to Ethos 26.1.0 existing models will continue to operate as before. Ethos will not change any channel assignments in the Channels (previously Outputs) page, so no wiring changes will be required. It may change the order of the Aileron mixer output assignments to ensure that aileron differential continues to work correctly, but they will still map to the same channels in Channels. It may also change the order of aileron related mixes such as Ail=>Flaps, Ail=>Rud and V-tail Rudders. Affected (multiple) channels will have the words ‘Left’ and ‘Right’ appended.
Any new models created with the wizard will follow the new convention of assigning channels starting from the left and alternating from the outside in.
In the examples below a channel order of AETR is used. If you are using a different channel order the Ailerons will be treated with the same philosophy.
